Security Officer Part Time Access Specialist

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a residential location where you will monitor entry points, manage access control, and support a welcoming environment for residents and guests. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to reduce security-related incidents through strong communication and customer service. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or vendors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points within a residential community, verify visitor and/or vendor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent security-related screening practices.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the community, common areas, and perimeter to observe conditions, report unusual activity, and support access control operations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$17.50 / Hour

Schedule

• Day shift: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Saturday and Sunday
