How This Role Works

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.

Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned areas while maintaining detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and/or maintenance concerns.
• Support emergency response activities by following post orders, assisting with site notifications, and helping direct personnel during weather events, service disruptions, and/or other urgent situations.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
