Security Officer Part Time Access Log Review

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location in Mulberry, FL, you will monitor entry points, verify access credentials, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, maintaining visitor logs, and following site-specific authorization procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, operational areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document observations, incidents, and access-control activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
