As a Part‑Time Security Officer – Access Authorization Review in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, managing entry points, verifying authorized access, monitoring activity, and supporting a secure environment at a construction‑related location. The role includes providing outstanding customer service, communicating professionally with visitors and personnel, and addressing access‑related concerns. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and vendors while carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and control access to designated areas.
• Communicate access requirements and site rules to visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel, directing them to appropriate check‑in locations.
• Respond to access‑control incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the business, and perimeter areas to identify and report security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
