Security Officer Part Time Access Authorization Driver

About the role

As an Access Control Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location in Santa Fe Springs, CA, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and shipments. This part-time, driving position reflects Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture, delivered through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, logging visitors and deliveries, issuing visitor badges, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$19.00 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:30 PM
