Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors in accordance with healthcare location procedures.
- Aid with visitor management, including directing guests to appropriate departments and communicating access-related concerns to designated personnel.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
