Security Officer Part Time Access Authorization

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, maintain visitor logs, and control access to restricted areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, exterior areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, access-control activities, and unusual occurrences accurately and promptly in required reports.

Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
