About the role
As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Incident Documentation in Thomasville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and may include operating a patrol vehicle. You will communicate professionally, support a welcoming environment, and uphold Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter areas, to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations in accordance with established procedures.
- Support a professional and welcoming retail environment while providing directions, assistance, and information to customers and visitors.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
