Security Officer Overnight Shipping

About the role

As a Security Officer Overnight Shipping in Port Saint Lucie, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech and media location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor logs, and delivery activity to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or support site access procedures.
• Report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related incidents promptly, and provide detailed written and/or verbal updates to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to respond calmly to emergencies.
• Good observational skills.
• Knowledge of alarm systems and access control.
