Security Officer - Overnight Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer - Overnight Driver in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Utilities. This part-time, primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license and offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service and communication while conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, and supporting access control and badge activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors at utility operations locations while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor for unusual activity, unauthorized access, equipment concerns, and potential hazards, and promptly report observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities and escalation protocols.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns in required reports and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$22.50 / Hour

• Tuesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
