Security Officer - Overnight Bicycle Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Las Vegas, NV, you will conduct routine bicycle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and document activities using technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, vehicle, and pedestrian activity in accordance with established government location procedures.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and site contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$16.70 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Tuesday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Thursday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
