Security Officer - Outdoor Shopping Mall

About the role

As a Security Officer - Outdoor Shopping Mall in Escondido, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment while responding to concerns and reporting observations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of building interiors, parking areas, access points, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access to the property and help maintain orderly entry and exit activities for authorized tenants, visitors, vendors, and delivery personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
