Job Description

As a Security Officer - Otay Mesa Distribution Facility, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and/or team members, and support daily security-related operations with professionalism and care. In this visible role, you will provide strong customer service, clear communication, and dependable support while reflecting our values of teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and team members by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Screen people, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post instructions and documented screening protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and document screening results, refusals, and/or unusual activity according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, which may include warehouse, trailer, dock, and parking areas, as working environments and conditions vary by location.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
