Security Officer (On-Call)

Responsibilities

• Supporting property promotions and events
• Maintaining highly visible patrols to insure a safe gaming environment
• Assuring quality support to other departments
• Handling all escorts of money/chip transactions in accordance with State Gaming Regulations and established internal Controls
• Monitoring casino floor for minors
• Responding to disturbances, emergencies and alarms in the casino and throughout the property
• Maintaining public order and enforce safety rules
• Performing Bill Validator drops
• Adhering to all Gaming Regulations and internal Controls
• Escorting team members, visitors, vendors into sensitive areas with prior approval

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Previous customer service experience
• Able to handle stressful situations dealing with the general public
• Able to work in an environment, which may be noisy
• Employing tact when dealing with difficult team members, guests or situations
• Able to identify and quickly respond to potential problems, conflicts and to defend oneself and others in combative situations
• Run on level or graded surfaces, as well as, up and down stairs
• Able to effectively and efficiently move around all work areas, including walking and standing for long periods of time
• Must possess a valid state issued driver’s license
• Able to multi-task as required, officers cover a wide variety of different posts and work with all departments
• Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations, including the ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 35lbs., and the ability to push , pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job related duties in varying work areas, such as confined spaces.
