Job Description
As a Security Officer Oil Refinery in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support site operations with strong communication and customer service.

- Daytime: Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Fri 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
Minimum Requirements
- Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Must possess one or more of the following:
- Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms)
- Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian)
- Current or prior active military service
- Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
- Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet
- CPR and/or First Aid
- Customer service experience
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
