Position Purpose
The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property. As a Security Officer you will know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions. Recognizes special needs/concerns of populations served and adjusts communication accordingly, i.e., language barrier, diminished hearing, concrete terms, etc.
Patrol Tours
- Makes rounds around the facility to ensure safety and security.
- Maintains awareness of the hospital’s perimeter and interior areas.
- Monitors CCTV systems.
Emergency Response
- Responds to all Emergency Code alerts.
- Acts independently when necessary.
Other Duties
- Performs alone or as a team member in the management of aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's license in good standing.
- Possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Possesses the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, patients and visitors.
- Possesses the ability to perform alone or as a team member in the management of aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention.
