Security Officer - Multisite

About the role

The Security Officer position at Securitas Security Services is a full-time role located in Denver, CO. The wage starts at $20.47 per hour and increases at 6-month intervals. This role offers benefits such as a Kaiser medical plan, both paid time off (PTO) and sick time, and a free Eco pass.

Responsibilities

• Guarantee 40 hours per week of work.
• Ensure all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Support staffing requirements at accounts during shortages.
• Aid in start-ups at new accounts, including working the site, writing post orders/checklists, and training newly assigned permanent Security Officers.
• Work on weekends and holidays with limited notice and during "high need" periods.
• Patrol assigned sites on foot or in vehicles, checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances/exits, and unauthorized persons.
• Write detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Above average computer/technology skills.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience preferred.
• Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.

Qualifications

• CPR, AED, and First aid certifications are a plus but not required for every site.
• Physical and mental requirements may include seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly; occasionally reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods; frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
