Security Officer (Multiple positions)

Area Security Services Location University Park Salary £26,908 to £28,890 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Closing Date Thursday 27 August 2026 Reference NHE222226 Working across all University sites, main duties for the role will include; patrolling University grounds and properties using University vehicles and on foot, responding to incidents and alarms and implementing crime prevention measures in consultation with the Security management team. You will be required to work in the Security control room operating CCTV equipment, provide detailed, accurate written reports and carry out duties in accordance with the Universities traffic control regulations to control car parking and traffic flow. Candidates should have substantial experience of working in a similar customer facing role, have the ability to record and analyse information and be able to produce accurate written reports. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills and have the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Due to the frequency with which candidates will be required to drive between university sites a full UK Category B driving licence with no automatic-only restriction (code 78) is essential for this post. Candidates must be able to drive manual cars and small vans. Experience of working in a similar security role is desirable.
