As a Security Officer at a Motor Vehicle Office located in Yonkers, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Security Officer at a government office location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, applicants, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government office location.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor authorization as required, and maintain a professional presence to help deter unauthorized entry and disruptive behavior.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required documentation.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with maintaining orderly public-facing operations by directing visitors to appropriate areas and supporting established client procedures.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $23.12 / Hour

Schedule

Daytime, Monday through Friday, 10:45 AM – 5:15 PM each day.
