About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will use screening procedures and access control practices to help maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and operations. You will remain attentive, provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and support a positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or packages in accordance with site-specific procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and shipping-related documentation as assigned, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
