Security Officer - Morning Shift

About the Role

As a Security Officer Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Aero/Defense and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, aircraft-related operations areas, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas; verify credentials and visitor authorization in accordance with site-specific procedures; and maintain accurate access and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Support a professional, orderly environment by reporting security-related concerns, policy violations, and maintenance issues through established communication channels.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
