About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Services in Hauppauge, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify potential concerns and report security-related issues.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness through strong customer service and communication.
• Assist with routine security-related duties such as checking doors, observing sensitive areas, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious activity according to site procedures.

Requirements

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
