About the role
As an Access Control Officer in a retail location, you will help create a welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing badge access, and responding to alarm or access-control activity. You will provide outstanding customer service, maintain a visible presence, and communicate clearly with visitors and team members.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points at a retail location, verify credentials and/or authorization, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery access in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned retail areas, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and report unusual activity.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access-related documentation while communicating professionally with store personnel and the public.
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$21.30 / Hour
Schedule
- Day shift: Saturday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
- Day shift: Sunday 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
