Security Officer (Long Term Temp)

About the role

The Security Officer position at Securitas Security Services is a full-time, 35-week contract starting approximately mid-January 2027, ending around mid-February 2027. Located in Butte, MT, this role offers rotating 12-hour shifts over two weeks.

Responsibilities

• Provide impeccable customer service and peace of mind to clients and their guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or suspicious activity.
• Ensure all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Carry out access control duties, ensuring no trespassers are present.
• Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
• Interact frequently with client employees and guests.
• Perform specific tasks and duties as required for assigned sites.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer and technology skills.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience preferred.
• Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills.
• Must remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Great attention to detail and vigilant throughout the shift.
• Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid and effective judgment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with security systems and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Pass a pre-employment screening process, including drug test and background check.
