Job Description

As a Security Officer Licensed Patrol in San Bernardino, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal at a government location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. In this unarmed role, you will support access awareness and provide outstanding customer service and communication to visitors and staff.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, court staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, public areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, screen visitors as required by location procedures, and guide guests, employees, and/or contractors while maintaining professional communication and following established post orders.
• Support daily operations at a government location by helping to manage crowd flow, observing for policy violations, and coordinating with onsite personnel and/or public emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
