Job Description

As a Security Officer Licensed Driver Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to support daily operations through strong communication and customer service.

• Day: Wed 06:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Thur 12:30 PM - 11:30 PM, Fri 12:30 PM - 11:30 PM, Sat 12:30 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and reporting observations through proper channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor foot traffic, observe for unusual behavior, and/or assist with access control, closing procedures, and other site-specific assignments as directed.
• Support store personnel and visitors with security-related information, directions, and/or assistance while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
