About the role
As an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access and badge activity, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license in state. Be part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a people-first culture built on teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, administrative buildings, parking areas, gates, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for personnel, visitors, and deliveries, documenting observations, activities, and/or incidents according to site protocols.
- Support traffic and pedestrian control at the location, report hazards or maintenance concerns to the appropriate site representatives, and assist with evacuations, shelter-in-place events, and/or other emergency procedures.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
