Security Officer Inspection

About the role

As a Security Officer Inspection in Niles, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Aero/Defense. As a Screener in an aerospace and defense location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and materials; monitoring access points; and reporting security-related concerns. Your visible presence, attention to detail, and professional communication will help deter incidents while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and permitted items entering the aerospace and defense location in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry to restricted areas; document access activity and report discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following applicable site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
