About the role
As an Inmate Transport Officer in Milwaukee, WI, you will serve and safeguard the transport of Inmates to and from the Milwaukee County Jail.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor inmate transportation activities in accordance with assigned post orders, applicable policies, and direction from authorized personnel.
- Assist with maintaining controlled access to designated transportation areas and report irregularities, unauthorized activity, and policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations through required reporting channels.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned transportation areas and perimeters, as permitted by post orders and site conditions.
Requirements
- Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
- Possess a college degree.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a Corrections Officer License.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay Rate: $28.00 / Hour
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM – 07:00 PM
