Security Officer - Incident Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Phoenix, AZ, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will communicate observations, respond professionally to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service while contributing to a caring, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, notifying designated personnel and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production areas, storage areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or hazardous conditions.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitors, contractors, deliveries, and security-related activity in accordance with site requirements.
- Prepare clear incident and patrol reports and communicate observed concerns to Allied Universal supervisors and authorized site contacts.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
