Security Officer III
About the role
The Security Officer III plays a crucial role in protecting Collector’s personnel, property, and profits through detection, deterrence, and denial of unauthorized individuals. They maintain a secure environment and preserve the integrity of the company’s facilities and reputation within a 24/7 security environment.
Responsibilities
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
- Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities
- Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
- Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
- Contribute to security team’s effort by accomplishing related duties as assigned
- Make timely decisions, while maintaining composure in emergency response situations
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Sustain effective relationships with customers and the client
- Adhere to all company service and operating standards
- Respond to emergency situations to provide necessary assistance to employees and customers
- Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
- Follow procedures for various initiatives, patrolling premises regularly
Requirements
- At least 3 years of security experience required, preferably in a corporate environment
- Valid California BSIS Guard Card (required)
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- High school graduate (required)
- Computer Use: Typing, mouse work, and sitting and looking at a computer potentially for long periods of time
- Hand Use: Regular hand use for various tasks
- Hearing Requirements: Ability to hear alarms, signals, and verbal instructions
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 25 pounds
- Phone Answering: Talking on the phone and texting may be required, as well as manual dexterity to operate a computer and phone system efficiently
- Sitting or Standing: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Qualifications
- Bilingual is a plus
- Analytical and logical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and ability to read body language
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office programs
- Great active listening skills, fostering trusting interpersonal relationships, and working well with others

Pay
Hourly Range: $23 - $24
Actual compensation varies based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience and skill set.
Schedule
Onsite Requirement: This role requires you to be onsite in the office 5 days per week.
