Security Officer II

Essential Functions

• Aid in emergency situations, including First Aid, CPR, and AED.
• Adhere to and demonstrate knowledge of Community Emergency Response Team Certification.
• Train new Security Officers in company standards and policies.
• Help promote health, safety, and liability awareness.
• Act as a safety leader.
• Patrol industrial and commercial premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion.
• Ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
• Investigate disturbances and write reports of daily activities.
• Call police or fire departments in case of emergency.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Check all vehicles and donation center doors, lift gates, and roll-up doors to ensure they are locked and secure.
• Notify management immediately of any illegal activity during business hours.
• Safeguard company property, including donated goods.
• Report any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of company property to management immediately.

Skills & Abilities

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• One year or more experience required.
• Knowledge of MS Office, e-mail, and internet preferred.
• CPR/FA/AED Certificate, Community Emergency Response Certified, Basic OSHA Certified, Fire safety Certified.
• 50% to 75% travel required.
