Security Officer II

Patrol Duties

• Patrols assigned areas
• Performs all security-related tasks
• Maintains life safety standards

Investigation and Reporting

• Investigates suspicious activity or persons
• Reports hazards, unusual or suspicious circumstances
• Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls

First Aid and Fire Response

• Administers initial first aid as appropriate
• Responds to fire alarms during actual alarms and drills

Dispute Resolution and Security Measures

• Intercedes in disputes between individuals
• Uses verbal de-escalation techniques
• Monitors vehicle and pedestrian traffic
• Interviews and investigates individuals involved in suspicious or illegal activities

Documentation and Reporting

• Documents safety hazards, incidents, and criminal activities
• Reports incidents to the appropriate entities

Skills and Abilities

• Reads accurately and comprehends
• Writes clearly and understands
• Active listening and effective communication
• Safely operates vehicles, equipment, and communication devices
• Learns applicable systems and responds to fire alarms
• Uses basic hospital/security applications and information management systems

Education and Experience

• High School Grad or Equiv
• 1+ years related experience

Licenses and Certifications

• Driver's License (DL)
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Preferred]
