About the role

As a Security Officer Identity Validation in Vance, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Auto. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Access Control Officer at a leading automotive location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badge access, and maintain a professional presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support visitors and employees with exceptional customer service, clear communication, and responsive assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at an automotive facility by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing badges or passes as authorized, and directing individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, parking areas, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and access-control exceptions accurately in accordance with site-specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
