Security Officer I - Full Time

Job Summary

Under the general guidance of the Security Manager, assist in providing security for patents, employees, visitors and physicians; protects hospital buildings, assets and premise as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Education: High School or equivalent
• Minimum Work Experience: 2 years relevant experience
• Minimum Age: 21 years of age by date of appointment
• Required Licenses/Certifications:
  • Obtain and maintain a Level III Commissioned Security Officers state license from the Private Security Bureau (PSB) within 8 weeks of employment.
  • Pass written and physical PSB course of instruction (obtained within 6 months of employment)
  • Maintain a clear police record
  • Ability to pass prescribed course(s) in weapon proficiency

• Deal effectively with community/consumers and hospital personnel
• Handle confidential information
• Requires extreme diplomacy and tact
• Conduct basic investigations and interview others
• Operate security electronic equipment including CCTV and access control
• Handles emergency or crisis situations
• Requires judgment or action that could potentially lead to the use of lethal force
• Designated Driver: Yes
• OSHA Category 1 - High Risk
