Security Officer I

As our Security Officer I, you will perform a full range of security activities through patrolling assigned campuses and clinics, protecting persons, property, and equipment from volatile individuals, unauthorized access, or hazards.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned campuses and clinics (buildings, parking structures, grounds) on foot or by vehicle to protect persons, property, and equipment from volatile individuals, unauthorized access, or hazards.
• Identify security violations and investigate incidents.
• Respond to alarms/emergency codes and emergent incidents; evaluate circumstances and implement emergency procedures.
• Control hospital access; monitor detection systems and CCTV surveillance equipment.
• Support helistop operations.
• De-escalate or physically restrain individuals when necessary.
• Document actions, monitor cameras, and draft reports.
• Identify, report, and follow up on security and building maintenance concerns; report safety and other discrepancies.
• Operate equipment including cellular/radio communications, electronic security systems, fire command systems, self-defense weapons, and other life‑safety and security equipment.
• Check doors to ensure they are secured; report signs of vandalism or equipment malfunction.
• Make determinations about providing access to secured areas, denying access after evaluation, removing individuals from property, and contacting outside law enforcement.
• Act as a liaison with appropriate stakeholders.

Requirements

• Six months of related experience in security, healthcare, or related law enforcement/military experience that demonstrates attainment of the requisite job knowledge skills/abilities.
• Driver's License: WA, upon hire

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will be reliable, possess strong customer service skills, demonstrate physical capability for emergency response, and have the ability to exercise good judgment in interpreting guidelines, all while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Pay

Pay Range $25.25 - $39.14 /hour
