Security Officer - Hosptal Driving Patrol

About the Role

As a Security Officer Hospital Driving Patrol in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in healthcare settings. This part-time, unarmed role involves routine vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, supporting access control, and providing welcoming customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving post.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility areas, parking areas, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and access-control procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and promptly communicate incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required for driving positions).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation, drug screen, and compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).

Pay

$17.50 per hour.

Schedule

• Tuesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
