Security Officer Hospital Support Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and general support, and help to address policy-related issues with professionalism and respect.
• Support a welcoming environment by remaining visible throughout the location, communicating clearly with staff and visitors, and following post orders for routine and incident-related assignments.

Requirements

• Required vaccinations for a hospital environment are required.
• Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• For a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
