About the role

As an unarmed Security Officer Hospital Patrol Guard in Cleveland, OH, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a busy healthcare location. Your presence will help reduce security-related incidents while you support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document relevant details and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, security-related concerns, and/or access control issues.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to support authorized access, provide directions, and report policy violations or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with de-escalation of tense situations, support visitor management processes, and help maintain an orderly environment for patients, staff, and guests.
• Restrain individuals if necessary.

Requirements

• Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$16.00 / hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Thursday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
