Job Description
As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication.
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or conditions that may need attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support authorized access, visitor direction, and compliance with location protocols.
- Assist with security-related requests and routine support duties, which may include reporting hazards, providing escorts, and/or helping staff and visitors with general information.
Minimum Requirements
- Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- A current guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
