About the role
As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Assistance in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and healthcare. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist visitors and staff, and communicate clearly while responding to security-related concerns. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility areas, entrances, waiting areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
- Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, badge verification, and directions to support orderly movement throughout the location.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
Requirements
- Hospital vaccines are required.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$17.87 - $18.87 / hour

- Tuesday: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
- Thursday: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
- Sunday: 07:30 AM - 04:00 PM
