Security Officer - Healthcare Site - Part Time

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and other assigned locations to help to control access, observe activity, and/or report concerns according to site protocols.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities in a clear and timely manner, and/or report maintenance, access, or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
• Comfortable restraining combative individuals per client guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
