Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility areas and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, assisting with directions and maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Must be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals.
  • At least two years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
