Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, common areas, and/or restricted locations, assisting with badge or credential checks, visitor direction, and other security-related support functions in accordance with post instructions.
• Support emergency and medical-related response procedures by notifying appropriate personnel, helping with orderly movement of people, and reporting conditions that may require follow-up.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
