About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to routine concerns with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and other individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
Starting pay is $19.70 per hour.
Schedule
- Friday – Tuesday, 1:00 AM – 9:00 AM
