Security Officer GSOC

About the role

The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator, under guidance of GSOC Supervisor, is responsible for assisting company personnel in all concerns that pertain to safety and security for corporate locations around the globe. The individual will work in a GSOC environment, monitoring several screens. The Operator will use a variety of tools that range from access control and alarm monitoring systems to various business intelligence sources, open-source media, Internet, and in-house tools. The Operator is required to detect, analyze, and alert others of any incidents which may impact the client’s people, products, property, or brand image.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Monitor communications systems, receive and document calls for assistance, and dispatch appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner during routine operations and critical situations.
• Maintain detailed activity logs, incident records, and shift communications to help support continuity of operations and timely follow-up on security-related and/or service-related concerns.
• Cook up with on-site personnel, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed to relay information, prioritize requests, and help support an organized response to incidents.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as needed, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
