Security Officer-Greenspring (Mon-Fri)(2 pm - 10 pm)

About the role

The Security Officer I is responsible for the safety and security of all patients, employees, contractors, trainees, vendors, and visitors utilizing Institute facilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete regular security rounds
• Check for and verify proper identification
• Sign-in/out individuals
• Provide escort services
• Control building ingress and egress
• Write reports
• Ensure adherence and compliance of Institute policies
• Promptly respond to disturbances while on duty

Qualifications

• Must possess or obtain a Maryland Security Guard Certification within 30 days of employment pursuant to Maryland Senate Bill 760.
• May require Class “D” Maryland driver’s license with no more than two points depending on assigned location.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

Benefits

The targeted starting salary/hourly rate for an entry-level candidate for this position is $17/h increasing to $19/hour after one year.
