Security Officer - Global Investment Company

About the role

Allied Universal is hiring Security Officers to oversee an Investment Company located in the Hudson Yards Area of Manhattan. Positions are full time with work shifts available in the morning, evening, and overnight. Work days available: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Must exhibit great customer service skills, with daily interaction with the general public, client, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of security-related experience
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
• A guard card or license is preferred
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred
• Access control and badge experience is preferred

Requirements

• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Pay

Hourly pay rate: $24.95 / hour
