Security Officer General Duty

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response guidelines.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor logs, and report policy violations, equipment issues, and/or maintenance concerns according to post instructions.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and/or observations in required reports, and support security-related operations during shifts, alarms, drills, and/or special situations.

Requirements

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
