Security Officer - General Duty

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Savannah, GA, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an orthopedic healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, following established protocols for restricted clinical, administrative, and treatment areas.
• Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Complete detailed reports, maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional, welcoming environment for patients and visitors.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
